Mathew is an experienced registered Psychologist, who is located in Paddington, Brisbane. He has completed 6 years of university training, including a Master of Clinical Psychology. Mathew has experience in working across the lifespan with various psychological issues including anxiety and depression, trauma, post-traumatic stress, borderline personality, grief and loss, emotion dysregulation, behaviour management, and health behaviour change. Mathew also has experience working with both individuals and groups.

Mathew’s particular interests include working with adults who are experiencing psychological issues related to anxiety and depression, trauma, post-traumatic stress, borderline personality, and co-morbid chronic health issues and their management.

In addition to working with individuals in a private practice setting, Mathew works part-time in a hospital facilitating skill-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) groups for anxiety and mood disorders, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) groups, as well as skill-based Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) groups for borderline personality disorder.

Mathew’s approach to therapy is to explore and bring awareness to underlying causes of current symptoms/issues, understand their influence on the present, and provide evidence-based skills to cope and change. Mathew practices primarily from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) principles.

Mathew sees adult clients on Mondays and Tuesdays, between 9:00am to 6:30pm, and on Wednesdays between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Telehealth appointments are also available upon request.
